Art Conservation and Restoration Treatments Include:

  • digital images from before and after conservation
  • repairing tears and distortions
  • stabilizing paint loss
  • removing grime and darkened varnish, when appropriate
  • restoring losses by adding new, stable and removable materials, when appropriate
  • abiding by the Guidelines for Practice of the Canadian Association of Professional Conservators and the Code of Ethics of the American Institute for Conservation
